About
Stephen Holt
In
addition to being one of the most popular fitness advisors on
the Web, Stephen has appeared in several national publications
including Shape, Fitness, Men's Health, Women’s Sports and
Fitness, Fitness Management, Men's Fitness, Club
Industry and IDEA Personal Trainer.
Stephen
writes an exercise equipment review column for Fitness Management's
Fitness OnSite and serves on the boards of the International
Youth Conditioning Association and the American
Running Association. Holt is also an Expert Fellow with the
National Board of Fitness Examiners.
Stephen
served two terms on both the Governor’s
Advisory Council on Physical Fitness in Maryland and as
the State Director of the National Strength & Conditioning Association.
A nationally respected speaker and writer on many aspects of
fitness and business, Stephen is a graduate of Duke University’s
School of Engineering and holds multiple certifications from
ACSM, NSCA, ACE, the CHEK Institute, AAAI, and the North American
Academy of Health, Fitness and Rehab Professionals.
The
former college football player and Olympic Bobsled Team Trials
competitor now participates in marathons and centuries.
Holt,
his wife - a pediatrician and internist specializing in Rheumatology
- and their daughters reside in suburban Baltimore, Md.
